About me

Allow myself to introduce…myself.

Bok! I’m Luca, a website copywriter based in Split, Croatia – aka – “the most beautiful city in the world”.

My business mission is to write high-quality websites for women solopreneurs that positions them as the best and only choice for their perfect-fit clients.

Why women?
And why solopreneurs?

Birds of a feather fly together, right?
As a woman and solo business owner, it’s easier for me to relate to my clients and therefore write more authentic and better copy.

Also, I’m a firm believer in women solidarity, especially in this cut-throat business world.
Solo and small business owners are more likely to be successful if they don’t regard each other as competition but rather as equally important parts of the economy.

That’s why I am also open to working with copywriters, content writers, designers and other creatives.

Principles I stand by:

The client-copywriter collaboration is not (only) transactional.  It’s a partnership.
And the best partnerships are those where both parties share similar values and principles.

Transparency

If I don’t have enough experience in your niche – I’ll let you know. If I can’t deliver to a deadline – I’ll let you know.

Just like in copywriting, clarity and transparency is one of the best ways for great results.

No-templates

Each client has a different personality, client base, problems and goals.

That’s why I never use templates but write copy that is tailored to your unique characteristics.

Team work

I love working with clients who are active in the copywriting process with their suggestions, comments and ideas.

That’s also why most of the prep work involves as much materials from the client as possible.

100% human written copy

AI can never be as authentic and human as another human – no matter how many prompts you put into it.

The goal of my copy is to make your ideal clients feel you’re the perfect choice for them. The last time I checked, LLMs are bad at feelings.

Sleaze-free copy

Using emotion is important, but manipulating people with endless pain points and FOMO is not my jam.

I only work with people and brands whose services address a real need.

How I became a copywriter?

Picture this: Split, 2011.

But, please, don’t picture the state I was in at that time.
I was bummed out by the fact that I wasn’t doing anything important or fulfilling.
My sister told me about a new writing workshop because she knew I loved reading. It took her a lot of convincing to make me decide to take a shot.
And would you know it, there I realized I should be a writer.

But I was discouraged by the fact that writing fiction huddled in a room can’t be a day job.
So when I graduated from college in 2015, I was again bummed out.
Luckily, a marketing internship opened and I got my first real job.

Marketing was a swear word to me back then, but little-by-little, I figured out you don’t have to use the telephone or drive around town with a loudspeaker to promote services.
You could just use words, a.k.a
copywriting.

Thus, my 9 year journey as an employed content writer and copywriter started. But somewhere deep inside, I wondered how would it be if I could freelance.

Fear of hunger and debt kept me in check, but after a bout of illness and getting laid-off my dream job, I took the deepest (metaphorical) breath. I opened my one-woman business in 2023.

One year and 12 clients later, I’m still here!
Some days are hard, but kind feedback from clients and that feeling of fullfilment when I see a finished piece of copy keep me going.
